Some last touches

Here is the final illustration for the Society of Illustrators poster. I really liked the way that it turned out. It was fun thinking of some clever tag line for the poster. I ended up choosing "Home Sweet Home. Kick back and kick butt. Enter your artwork t the society of illustrators." The colors printed out really well...this was probably my best experience with the printer. I'm very pleased with it overall.
This was a super fun watercolor. This is my extra assignment. I tried using a new technique and style of watercolor. I learned a lot from doing this and I like the way it turned out. I had to redo it a few times because I kept overworking it, but it eventually turned out nicely.

This is my article illustration. You wanted a farmer and snow and there ya go! I really like the touch of snow on the farmer hat and on the trees and farm. It adds a lot. I also liked the mud puddle and the clor mixture on the pigs skin.

Society of Illustration 16 x 20I really enjoyed watercoloring these little cottages and then incorportating the design/illustration element into the road. It turned out really well and is pretty close to my original idea. The greenery could be a little more interesting but I think the house and road turned out very well.
This is my SOI comp. I orginally had the design words in a small stream, but changed it to a dirt road.
This is Abe, out of pop tabs! Thousands, actually. This was quite a project! I had a lot of fun with it though and I am very pleased with the outcome. It was very time consuming but it was a fun medium to work with.

Article Illustration
Okay, okay...this pig is a little donuty and the sky is obnoxious, but its cute right? I'm going to redo it, Rusty. No worries.

Life/deathI love the concept. I agree it needs more foliage. My tree trunk needs some serious attention. I'm going to redo it. I am determined to master this medium! (I have a week left and I CAN DO IT!) :)

Airbrush redo

I'm so happy i got approved! I touched some of the problems up that were caused by pulling the frisket off, but besides that this is what the chihuahua looked like originally. The paint is muc more even than the first attempt. I am happy with the final result, but i'm still bitter about that darn frisket!!!!

Miderm Redo!

This is my redo for my midterm to replace the watercolor of Ronald Reagan.

This is my replacement of the sailboat

I hope you like it!

Photo Portrait and #11

This is my memory portrait of one of my best friends. I really like the color usage, but would like to go back with some more detail.

This is my number 11 project. I am really pleased with the way it turned out. It looks much better than the original.

Airbrushing

Here are a couple of the airbrush activities. A sphere and a Cube. My sphere is decent, except the bowling ball holes are a little wonky. Other than that though, I think I captured the light source pretty well.
I had a lot of fun making the cube. It kind of looks like the logo for nintentdo or something. But Rusty told me to step things up so I am doing my hardest to push, push, push! It paid off, because the cube came out clean and transparent.
